Board of Directors

The Board is a diverse collection of nine (9) persons elected by the Credit Union membership through a democratic process at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Board is entrusted with the general management of the affairs of the Credit Union.

Responsibilities of the Board:

The Board shall exercise all the powers of the Credit Union except those reserved to the General Meeting of the members. As established in the Credit Union's Bye-Laws,the roles and responsibilities include:

  • To decide upon applications for membership, suspension or expulsion of members.
  • To appoint delegates to represent the Credit Union and vote on its behalf at any forum
  • To formulate and revise policies
  • To determine the rate of interest on loans.

Synopsis of Work Experience:

Mr. Stephen Creese first started work at the Caribbean Conference of Churches as a Project Officer from 1983 to 1985. From there he entered the Public Service in 1985 as an Investigator in the Office of the Ombudsman. Over the next twenty-two years (1992 to 2014) he rose through the ranks in the Ministry of Local Government, from Deputy C.E.O at Point Fortin Corporation to Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government.

Ms. Hall has been employed in the Public Service for over thirty (30) years, and has amassed considerable experience and knowledge in public sector accounting and management. During her tenure in the Public Service she held progressively senior positions and was appointed the Executive Officer, Office of the Ombudsman from 2004 - 2013.

Synopsis of Work Experience:

Mr.Greaves when he retired was a Budget Supervisor in the Ministry of Finance. During his time in the public sector, Mr Greaves provided technical services in the field of Accounts. Additionally, he assisted in the preparation and review of the country's National Budgets. He also played a key role in the restructuring of the Budget Division and formulation of the existing Chart of Accounts. Mr. Greaves has represented the Budget Division as a Facilitator in the Course for Entry into the Administrative Grade as requested by ministries and various departments.

Some of his roles included:

  • Facilitator, Public Service Budgeting and Accounting at Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Treasury Division in Tobago.
  • Facilitator, training sessions at Ministry of Science Technology and Tertiary Education-(Adult Training,2007).
  • Facilitator, MUST Programme, Remedial English and Arithmetic (2006-to 2007).

Synopsis of Work Experience:

Mr. La Roche was employed in the Public Service for about twenty-six (26) years, years before deciding to resign. He then entered the private sector working at Agostini's Limited and Warnerville Grain Mills before joining Angostura Limited in 2010 as the Manager, Labour Relations, and subsequently, Manager, Human Resource Operations.

Over the years Mr La Roche amassed considerable experience in the Cooperative field as he served on various committees and held various positions at PSCU Credit Union.

Synopsis of Work Experience:

Dr. Janet Stanley-Marcano is a retired public servant with a global perspective for education. She is a graduate of programmes in Teacher Education, Educational Administration and International Education Development. Her mission was to transform schools into effective learning and teaching environments; promote excellence and innovation in education and improve academic performance.

Dr. Stanley-Marcano dedicated over forty years in the service in formal education, and assumed numerous positions in schools as a classroom teacher. In addition, while at the Ministry of Education she served as Education Testing Officer, Supervisor in Educational Testing, Director of Educational Research and Evaluation and Chief Education Officer. Dr Marcano was the the first woman to hold this position in the history of the Ministry. She also acted as Permanent Secretary and Deputy Permanent Secretary.Dr. Stanley-Marcano is an advocate for volunteerism and is a Rotarian

Ms. Alison Alleyne has been employed in the Public Service for over thirty years. She has worked as a messenger for about fifteen years, but had a burning desire for further education. So while working she pursued studies at the University of the West Indies where she attained her degree. She then gained employment in the Division of Tourism and Transportation in Tobago as a Tourism Research Officer for two years. She is currently working with the Division of Education Youth Affairs and Sports, as a Sport Events Coordinator.
